Situated in one of the most beautiful places in Ireland, on a magnificent promontory jutting out into the Atlantic, the Centre lies in the heart of the village of Mullaghmore in County Sligo.
Rich in story, music and tradition, this is the countryside that inspired the poetry of W B Yeats and the paintings of his artist brother Jack B Yeats.
Immediately opposite the Centre is Mullaghmore harbour, with its fishing boats and yachts.
And only a stone’s throw away is the world famous Mullaghmore Strand - a magnificent three mile long beach, which carries a Blue Flag for cleanliness and is safe for bathing.
A walk through the sand dunes towards Mullaghmore lake offers opportunity to see delicate and rare wild flowers, including wild orchids.
Taking the headland walk will bring you along magnificent cliffs offering wonderful views of rolling breakers and the wild Atlantic.
